Here at Team Lesedi, we love the vibrant colour of traditional African textiles like Shweshwe, Kitenge and Ankara to name a few as they evoke the joy and playfulness of Summer time! The bright colours and the gorgeous, intricate traditional patterns are what inspired us to create our Kids clothing line.
What is Shweshwe? Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric that has become synonymous with South African textiles. Originally a dyed in a distinctive indigo colour, the fabric is now made in a variety of bright, vibrant colours and unique intricate geometric patterns.
